Carving a niche of excellence

Since its humble beginnings in 1960, Patella Woodworking has assembled a group of skilled cabinetmakers in order to perpetuate the European tradition of fine architectural woodworking. At Patella, old world skills are combined with new world management techniques and flexible modern technology in order to create a total quality environment. Our critical path planning, logistical project analysis and quality control mechanisms help us exceed industry standards not only with regards to the physical product but also in terms of manufacturing time and delivery.

This soul craft, which is forged from pride in the work, respect for the resource, and love for the beauty of wood, resonates daily throughout all aspects of our activities. We’ve built our reputation over the years by focusing on four key benefits: offering competitive prices, meeting contractor schedules, installing our top quality products with the utmost professionalism, and always remaining environmentally conscious. Patella Woodworking is proud to have been the millworker of choice on what has been voted the country’s greenest high rise building, The Bank of America Tower in New York City. The accolades began in 2008 when the job was completed and continue today highlighting the use of state of the art energy efficiency, sustainable materials and environmentally conscious construction. This trend continues with other LEED-certified projects such as Goldman Sachs; Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, Columbia University, and The Harrison. When you work with Patella Woodworking you too can be assured your project will embrace the latest in environmentally conscious capabilities.

Patella Woodworking’s excellent reputation in the marketplace is evident in our impressive project history which you can view on our Client page.

Patella Woodworking is a member of Architectural Woodworking Institute (AWI), Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), and US Green Building Council.
